Why dwarka expressway is stealing the show.

Finally the project which has been the talk of the town is set to get completed within 18 months. This has been the statement given by Metropolitan development authority.


All the obstacles have been finally removed and a final notice has been published to the landowners possess any unauthorised property. Compensation has been quickly relieved so that no one is at inconvenience. Observing the urgency of utilising the land for a project of national importance the high court ordered to allot plots to even those outees who have general or special power of attorney.


A total of 29km Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) is being constructed.And for the purpose of decongesting the Gurgaon and New Delhi and offering hassle-free commute to long-distance travellers, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to make 23km as an elevated highway.

Two railway overbridges on the entire stretch from Shiv Murti on NH-48 to a spot near the Kherki Daula Toll is also being constructed, out of which 23.12km of the road will be elevated. The elevated road will merge with the surface road for entry and exit purposes only. The purpose of the elevated road is to provide hassle-free commute to distant commuters.


The NPR, which is more popularly known as the Dwarka Expressway, is crucial to offering high speed connectivity to commercial vehicles that form a large chunk of the traffic that is forced to cut through the Delhi city to access other states.


The expressway will start from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur in New Delhi and end on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway near Kherki Daula Toll. Of the 29km stretch, nearly 23km would be elevated including two railway over bridges (RoBs), one of which has been constructed in Basai.


The Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on NH-48 is a part of the Delhi-Jaipur-Ahmedabad-Mumbai arm of Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) stretch, is presently carrying traffic of over 3 lakh passenger car units per day, which is much the beyond design capacity of this eight-lane highway leading to severe congestion. An alternate expressway will provide relief from this congestion.


The NHAI official said that the Expressway is also proposed to provide connectivity to IGI Airport from Dwarka. In addition, it would provide direct access via a tunnel to the upcoming 90-hectares Exhibition cum convention centre in Dwarka, Sector 25.


The National Highways Authority of India has awarded  L&T one of the five packages of the Rs 7,500-crore Dwarka Expressway project in Haryana under the Bharatmala project.The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued Letter of Award (LOA) for Package-4 of Dwarka Expressway from Basai Railway over bridge to NH 8 – SPR intersection in Haryana on EPC under Bharatmala Pariyojna. This eight-lane Expressway (NH-248 BB) will be constructed on EPC mode at a cost of Rs 1,047.007 crores.

World class Exhibition cum convention centre in Dwarka sec 25


Dwarka is set to get a state-of-the-art convention centre exactly like the one in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore for hosting exhibitions, trade fairs and summits of international standards.


To be constructed in Dwarka’s Sector 25, three kilometers from the IGI airport in south-west Delhi, the two-phased project was approved by the Union cabinet in November 2017. The contracts for this project has already been awarded. The Architects working on the project are one of the biggest in Asia. The architects said that the convention centre will be conceived as a smart, zero energy, world-class facility designed for an events like G-20 summit which, you can imagine will be massive.


An approximate amount of Rs 25,700 crore is estimated to be spent on the exhibition-cum-convention centre in Dwarka and its allied infrastructure will include, an arena, primary structure, Delhi Metro, road connectivity, hotels and office spaces.


The first phase of the project, comprising convention centre with a seating capacity of 10,000 guests, two exhibition halls spread over 80,000 square metre area and a foyer, would be ready by October 2019. While the 2nd phase comprising of  hotels, retail space and offices will be completed by 2025. This project is estimated to generate 5 lakhs employment opportunities.


This exhibition cum convention centre will be connected directly by a tunnel to Dwarka expressway which is the most hyped about place Delhi/NCR. This will be a great news for the residents of the new colonies in Dwarka Expressway.


New Diplomatic Enclave on Dwarka Expressway


After the diplomatic enclave where embassies of the world are housed in Chanakyapuri a second diplomatic enclave is proposed to be built in Sector 24 of Dwarka.After it was approved, there would be a transfer of 34.87 hectares of land from Delhi Development Authority to Land and Development Office under urban development ministry. This land would be transferred to diplomatic missions and international organisations for building their chanceries and embassies.


Since more land was required to extend the ever growing needs of these diplomatic enclaves and there was a restriction of the amount of land available in the preferred location ie Chanakyapuri , land was allotted in Dwarka. This Diplomatic enclave will be very close to Dwarka expressway and will be well connected with metro lines and tunnels.


Dwarka Expressway is in the close proximity to T3 Terminal of IGI airport, aerocity which is the hospitality hub of Delhi and the upcoming 18 hole DDA Golf course in Dwarka.The diplomatic enclave will be a silver lining to the already developing residential and commercial projects coming up here.


The price of the properties in Dwarka expressway are going to skyrocket. It will be a wise decision to invest a substantial amount in the ongoing projects because getting a hand on one of these hottest selling properties will remain but only a dream.
