Myshopdeal News NHAI breaking hurdles in the way of Dwarka Expressway Gurgaon.

The much hyped Dwarka Expressway is finally seeing some serious actions within the last few month. Activities and construction are speeding up as well. These have a look at what’s the newest development here:


The Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway which will be a 1.25 Km stretch connecting major parts of Delhi and Gurgaon is soon going to be completed as NHAI has got approval to take possession of the land. This will be a part of the the  whole Dwarka Expressway which will be 27.6 km long. A total of Rs 7,200 crores has been budgeted to be spent in this area.

This 27.6km expressway will be a  long signal-free stretch between Dwarka in Delhi to  Kherki Daula in Gurgaon. This will not only speed up connectivity but at the same time reduce travel time between Haldiram and IGI airport to 15 minutes.


The good part is that there are no public land in this 1.25 Km area, so there will not be any delays as we saw in the previous case which involved relocation of 200 plus outees.NHAI has also initiated the take over of 25 hectares of land which is essential for building the 9.7 km stretch between Delhi and Haryana also known as the NPR. The 25 hectares are owned by 3 farmhouses. These land belong to Central Government after publication of section 3D of NHAI act.

The Dwarka Expressway,has been divided into 4 major parts.

  • First portion -  5-km-long, from Shiv Murti to rail underbridge near Sector 21, Dwarka.

  • Second Portion- 4.5-km-long, between rail underbridge and Delhi-Haryana border on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.

  • Third Portion - 10.2-km-long, starting from the border to rail overbridge in Basai. This stretch will pass through sectors 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 111, 112, and 113 in Gurugram.

  • Fourth Portion - 7.9km long would start from the rail overbridge and end at the intersection of the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) near Kherki Daula.


The Dwarka expressway will pass through all new sectors from 102 to 113 in Gurgaon. It is indeed a great development for home buyers and developers who are situated in this sector since it will increase the connectivity many folds.
