The much awaited elevated highway connecting KPM Expressway to NH 48 near Rajiv chowk is finally going to start from September next month. The project which is going to cost approximately Rs 1,250 crores will bring permanent relief to local and long-distance commuters. The flyover would start from Subhash Chowk and it would end where Badshahpur village ends. At Subhash Chowk, where a flyover was constructed by HUDA four years ago, an underpass will now be constructed for seamless connectivity between Rajiv Chowk and Sohna through the flyover.

The tender fixes a deadline of 25 months for construction of the corridor and the underpass at Subhash Chowk, the PWD minister Rao Narbir Singh said he is positive that the work will be completed in 15 months. He said that it will take hardly 20 minutes to reach from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna once the highway is complete.

There will be two underpasses. One at Subhash Chowk and another at the T-junction near Vatika Chowk where the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) merges with the Sohna Road. There will be 3 foot bridges for pedestrians as well.

There are a large number of commercial establishments, including hotels, restaurants, pub bars and several offices located along the Sohna Road, besides residential complexes such as Vatika City, Uniworld Garden, Nirvana Country, Central Park FLower Valley, Emaar The Palm Square, IREO township,  leading to heavy traffic on the stretch.
